Designed specifically for touch-screen tablets and laptops with trackpads (which don’t have a right-click mouse button).
It works similar to the “open link in new tab” option in the popup menu when you right-click on a link, but this method is faster, because right-clicking is a slow process without an external mouse.
No longer will you have to hold down the button and wait for the popup menu, or perform complex mouse gestures to accomplish this seemingly common task.
Just double tap or double click on the link to open it in a new tab.
In the settings window you can change whether (1) tabs open at front; (2) tabs open next to current tab; (3) blacklist certain websites.
thank you
Funziona perfettamente! Quel che dice fa, veramente pratica. Ottimo lavoro! Ce n’era bisogno dato che Chrome non provvede a queste funzionalità!
Very useful! I wonder why Chrome doesn’t have the option to open the link in a new tab automatically…
FINALLY…an extension that lets me open the links I want to (and ONLY the ones I want to) in a new tab, one-handed, on a laptop with a trackpad (no mouse, no right-click button). It’s easy to use and it works flawlessly. I think I tried every other Chrome extension for opening links in a new tab before I found this one. I gave up and deleted all the rest but this one I’m keeping. Thanks!!
Good idea, but breaks the Watch Later and Add to Queue links on Youtube thumbnails. It causes the video to launch on the same tab.
At the youtube.com website double clicking on a link in the side bar brings up the title of the chosen video but NOT the video itself. The video is the same both before and after the double click.
At first i thought it was kinda awkward to use, but now after a long time using i felt awkward of not using it.
It works exactly as described. Using surface book in tablet mode, this is exactly what i was looking for. Thanks devs. Definitely a time saver for opening new links as tabs in background.
Awesome ! thank you, i’m using this on chrome + firefox now, just what i needed 🙂
Nice
A very simple and effective double-click to open links in a new tab.
SUPERB! Many thanks.
