Excellent tool, thanks.
Suggestion for improvement.
The problem is: Repeated pressing in search text box or reselecting the same history record is not applied (doing nothing). It’s necessary on interactive pages, e.g. on log pages, since after refreshing the page, the highlighting of the search results will disappear.
Great app. Thanks!
it doesn’t support utf-8 characters. for example \w+ does not find any non-english characters.
Ex: سلام is a Persian/Arabic word.
if possible please add more feathers at least \p{xx} option, so we can use \p{L} instead of \w .
also \p{L} will find all utf-8 characters. also for Chinese and other non-English languages it it an essential feature.
you can see more details about \p feature in this link: http://www.pcre.org/pcre.txt
Not Working with latest chrome, only show icon with 0 number。 Not show the input search box , pls fix this bug. Thanks
Great extension. Could you add an option to search in the page source as well? I’d like to use this to detect if a certain js (or anything else in the header) is included on a page.
It worked, until I needed to add “:” to the search and it wouldn’t work:
Searching this character alone works:
:
But needing it as part of a search does not work:
add_foreign_key\(:[a-z_]+,
I can’t escape it or find a way to search what I need. I switched to the “Find+” extension, which worked.
It doesn’t work in some specific page.
Highlight of text doesn’t work.. waiting for fix!
Two recommendations
1. Please add a match whole word button.
We don’t want to write \bword\b every time.
2. Please make case insensitive as default. Rather than case sensitive.
Personally I think this is the best Regex search and highlight extension. I have two ideas for the author to upgrade it for more usable, i.e.
– could you give each Regex or Keyword a different highlight color? and even make the colors customizable?
– could plese make an config page to keep the Regexes and make it editable, not the current simple histories.
Thanks for this great work! Hope it can revive!
| “or” operator is there
not working at all for .txt files and source code? seriously?
On my windows10 chrome(80.0.3987.87(正式版本) (64 位)), this plugin of 1.0.8,
on some sites, both the “CTRL+Shift+F” and clicking on the plugin icon, was unable to callout the popup input box , for me entering the regexp to search, but the icon was updated with a “0” number on it.
Really useful, and nice interface. (Also supports ^ and $ which surprised me)
Superb!
How did I not know about it till now?!
and why doesn’t chrome have a built-in regex search?
requires a content script… potentially breaking websites. Find+ has no such requirements and does the same thing.
Thx for cool ext!!!
Pls add 3 features, if it possible:
1. Auto apply last search for next browsed pages (instead current action: crl+shif+f > history > click last history for each page)
2. Different colors for regex groups
3. Not work regex look ahead and negative look
Thanks for this extension.
Please add autocomplete with last search regexp so I don’t have to pick it from history every single time. (This is the default settings for Chrome CTRL+F)
Exactly what I was looking for, a tool or extension that lets me copy all matches to clipboard. Perfect!
Works on “static” page elements. Does not work on values in inputs and textareas.
Nonfunctional, as far as I can tell. Tested ctrl+f on multiple different pages, and not a single regex worked. Either there are unlisted steps needed to active regex searches, or it is just broken.
Does not search patterns containing `=` example `def=0.0\)=[^0]`
I’ve just started using this, but already, wow, it works so well. You have to have knowledge of regular expressions to use it, but if you do, it’s so helpful. Nice and easy to use.
How do I search for unique matches?
Negative lookahead doesn’t seem to work
/(\w+\b)(?!.*\1\b)/
