This extension is intended for teachers (like me) who’ve had to rapidly transition to online classes and need a simple way to take attendance during a Google Meet. As you start your Meet, you can enter a list of expected invitees and the extension will automatically detect who joined the call and how long they stayed.. You can save multiple class lists (which are shared to all of your devices).
The extension records which students attended, when they arrived and how long they stayed with all of the information displayed in a tidy HTML report. The latest v1.0.x release has an entirely user interface to manage student information – including the ability to add student-specific comments in the reports – and offers a much more flexible and extensible framework for new features in the future.

–> v1.4.5 updated a couple of default ignore strings; fixed an issue with sorting with accents
–> v1.4.4 added user configurable `ignore` strings to help address new & spurious entries from recent Google changes; fixed minor bugs
–> v1.4.3 removed references to Grid View Fix, minor tweak so that classes larger than 49 may still be supported, other small tweaks and small bug fixes
–> v1.4.1 & v1.4.2 small bug fixes
–> v1.4.0 improved in-Meet visualizations of who joined and who stayed
–> v1.3.3 more minor bug fixes
–> v1.3.1 minor bug fixes
–> v1.3.0 minor UI tweaks and small new features. See https://youtu.be/6rF2W0UuOoY
–> v1.2.8 fixes a number of sorting issues and display issues for rlt languages; adds support for Swedish, Hungarian and Turkish
–> v1.2.7 fixes a number of bugs and allows you to `ignore` (or hide) specific users in the HTML reports.
–> Among other things, v1.2.x allows you to `lock` your classes as well as manually mark students present and record participation
–> As of v1.1.x , the `history` of all of your Meets is saved
The extension already supports English, French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, German, Dutch, Bulgarian, Swedish, Czech, Arabic, Chinese and Romanian (and perhaps more). Most of the HTML reports and much more of the extension UI ready for translation. Please contact me if you’d like to help with this effort.

I look forward to your feedback!
It works very well and helps a lot, the best that I tested. The option to hide the popup is nice. The only problem, in my opinion, is when the meet disconnect (poor internet or some internet error) and automatically reconnect. In this case, the extension goes off and does not store data for the same meet. You can download the course’s previous file, but if new students join the meet or disconnect after the crash, no records are stored.
Excellent tool, very easy of use.
Excellent to automatically track our class
I had installed the grid view extension but out of 71 participants it was only to take down 20 of them
Alguien sabe que significan los fantasmitas?
Super cool!
Earlier version was the best and also a simple one. Now it doesn’t show all the names though I could see their names in the people list. What should I do to get the earlier version? Pls. help.
Useless app…..always misses many student names…….It makes mockery of teacher in front of students……It cannot be trusted at all….where attendance is linked to marks and certificate…..
bad
Dear Allan,
Your extension is very useful. I was quite impressed with the performance during the early stages of its development. At this time I am currently facing challenges with the extension not automatically marking students present as they enter the meeting while I am sharing my screen during a lesson. Additionally, when I do stop sharing my screen it will mark the attendance, however it does not capture the true timestamp of the students duration during meeting. As soon as I share my screen the it only timestamps for that period.
I would love for this to be fully automated as it was in the beginning as this is a great extension!
Thank you and I hope you will be able to rectify this issue.
Come mai???
All Students were present in whole session of the class, but few of their attendance is not marked
This attendance is the best for attendance but I am still facing glitches for some of my students cant be marked as present even if they come and they response all the time. I even click for the number of checks for them and i make sure mine is tile view. but still there are quite a number of students didnt mark as present. Just want to inform to the Mr. Allan. Thank you. support from Malaysia.
This use to be a great extension. Accurately measured who was in class and for how long. It was easy to import your class roster.
Recently however, there have been a number of glitches. I am unable to import a class, the class name changes and overwrites the roster with a previously entered class. Overall, it makes it more of a hassle than it’s worth at this point.
I will stick to pen and paper for now.
Kollathilla..Kollathillaa…
The app is useful, make it possible to automatically create a list based on the Google ID of the meeting. Maybe I don’t know that this has already been done? Thanks
only one which i found efficient for taking attendence.
Many of my students said that they have attended my class from the beginning till the end, but the attendance showed that they have missed half way. Lousy add on.
Non tutti i dati sono attendibili
I am with the version 1.2.3, updated one. This extension is missing to note some of the students who are actually present. The people section has 41 including me but the attendance is showing only 28. This is bad. I trust this extension. Fix it please…
