AudioXout
Features: AudioXout is now able to remember and retain the previously chosen sound output.
Purpose: choose a default audio output device in Chrome for media playback.
How to: Click on the extension icon and choose the output device on the website you want to play audio out of.
Note: you will need to authorize the microphone permission that pops up due to chrome restrictions. Once you have done so choose the device again and it will work with the current site in the open chrome tab.
I made this as a fix-up package for the currently broken “AudioPick” Extension. All credits go to the “AudioPick” developers for the original code.
Doesn’t work
Does nothing. i allow all acces and it still does nothing
не работает
Funciona 2021
finally found a working one, thanks for it <3
Thanks friend. So glad this one worked. Audiopick doesn’t work for me.
This extension does exactly what I need it to do with no issues, I like for a specific tab to play audio from my speakers device and the rest to play from my other device (headphones). This extension makes that possible. Other extensions could not do it so 5 stars for this puppy!
the idea is amazing , but it doesn’t work on windows 10
Does not work at all…. Tried everything recommended in the comment and it still doesn’t work.
output not changed
Thank you very much! This works for me on 05.01.2021 as replacement of Audiopick with latest versions of all blink-based browsers (chrome, vivaldi, opera, yandex)!!!
It’s a great replacement for AudioPick extension that has been dead for several years. Now I don’t have to select an audio device every time I open a site, as it remembers the selected output audio device.
Just make sure you have configured the site to allow microphone access first (cited from: https://github.com/rain-fighters/AudioPick/issues/36#issuecomment-632015099)
1. go to youtube.com
2. click the 🔒 icon in the address bar
3. microphone : “allow” … if it’s not there, click “site settings” and find it
doesn’t work at all
Not being the average computer person, i tried everything “technical”….and it just didn’t work. This seems like a knock-off of the other extension and that one sucks just as badly. After rebooting the computer, cleaning out the cache, and several other things, i just realized this extension may work for “some” people under certain conditions….but obviously mine don’t fit it’s needs.
This thing needs a TON of work.
it works! thanx a lot!
funciona
AudioPick clone but not working like AudioPick… changing devices don’t work. AudioPick used to work … what can be done?
It works but you have to change in chrome extention option to “specified websites”
This doesn’t seem to be working on the Brave browser sadly, I’m not sure about Chrome yet. I tested on YouTube and Twitch.
Tried AudioPick, wouldn’t work for any websites at all. I was looking for something to help me route audio from SoundCloud and Spotify web players to a specific VoiceMeeter audio device I use for background music only. This did not work for SoundCloud or Spotify either, however, it did work for other websites I tested it on (YouTube, Twitch, etc.)
I believe it has something to do with the embedded web players in the Spotify and SoundCloud browser sites.
Seems OK but does not appear to work with the Plex web player, which is what I needed it for. Bummer. e.g. https://app.plex.tv/desktop
It also works with MacOS. Note though that no “Allow microphone” pop up appeared, but when I manually gave access to the specific site to use the microphone (though Chrome’s “site settings” page), it worked flawlessly.
Thanks, work perfectly !
Another Audiopick user, this one works with the current version of chome.
