This extension activates the auto-translate feature of Youtube™ with the chosen language automatically each time the captions function is activated. This save you a few clicks, but most importantly this allows you to use auto-translate even when it’s not available in the menu, as is the case with some video’s for some reason.

It doesn’t work for me. I simply want to watch something with spanish subtitles and it’s not letting me. It’s still in English!
I guess this doesn’t work if there is no CC option, as this translate the default subtitles, right? It doesn’t translate the voice. So if there are no default subtitles (CC option) it is useless, right?
The extension sounded like a good feature. So I installed it. But after trying it for over 1 hr, I simply can not get it activated into the language that I set up for. I don’t know what went wrong.

I was translating the youtube videos by keeping text-to-speech opened while I watch the videos. Now, thanks to this great app I don’t need to do this process manuelly anymore. Thank you so much.

Only one issue, when I seclect “Chinese Traditional”…It display Chinese Simplified.
Great solution, def works on most vids. But unfortunately doesn’t seem to work unless the video at least has the “auto-generate subtitles” option in the youtube video settings. In the video I want to use Youtube’s auto-translate feature on, if i click the subtitles/cc button, the options are only “off” and “add subtitles/cc”. Can’t get your extension to kick in in this case.
