Simply click on an image with the middle mouse button and move the mouse left (to zoom out/shrink) or right (to zoom in/enlarge). Release the button when you have the desired image size. (May not work for some images and some web sites.)
Update: the image url and size (in bytes, if can be determined) are now displayed.
Tip: To prevent opening a link associated with the image, move cursor up or down outside of the image.
Note: There’ll NEVER be the right mouse button option! Please don’t ask! Thank you!
IT WON’T WORK ON LAPTOPS W/O MIDDLE MOUSE BUTTON! DUH!
No idea why the average review score is low… but it has to be wrong.
This is a very useful feature and very simple to use, it’s very potent and allows me to zoom in on images without modifying the zoom level for the entire website which might be slower on some clunky webpages.
Can’t believe Chrome doesn’t already have an in-built feature that is similar already. I reckon that the mouse shortcut wuold confuse anyone unaware of such a feature at first. Anyway, regardless of why this extension is needed, it is and I’m very thankful that it exists.
It works properly again! Not sure if you fixed it, or Chrome changed something, but it’s nice to have this back.
useful tools.
Does not maintain aspect ratio. Essentially useless now. Also I can zoom in, and it will stretch the image, and then I zoom out and it does not stretch back- I can’t find any way to get it back besides refreshing the page.
Doesn’t work properly, images do not keep aspect ratio.
No longer works
Simply doesn’t work with my logitech mouse.
My wheel is the middle mouse button, DUH!
Stubborn kids these days…
내가 자주 사용하는 매우 유용한 확장프로그램이었는데..
최근부터 갑자기 안되기 시작함…
크롬이 업데이트 되면서 최적화가 날아간듯…
Simple AF and working fine
PS few days ago it stopped zoom on imageboard sites

It used to work great for long while… but now it has completely stop working. I guess Chrome broke something.
Like others have said, it now stretches images sideways once the max height is reached, but only when you’re viewing the image alone and not on a web page. Plugin version 1.7.5, Chrome 78.0.3904.108, Mac OS 10.13.6.
Used to be awesome. Now it just stretches the image horizontally. Back to FF until this is fixed.
Used to work great, but now the images stop zooming and start stretching when the max screen dimension is reached…not like before. Probably due to WIN 10 updates, or maybe Chrome itself.
In any case, it now sucketh mightily.
Image won’t zoom past the size of the browser window and only stretches horizontally.
Zoomer has stopped working for images since latest update
Squishes images horizontally and stretches them instead
Has recently stopped working. Zooming in stretches the image. There is no other extension that does what this one does, very sad.
Was the most useful extension and now the latest update destroyed it. It only zooms horizontal now. Desperately need alternative or I’m going back to FF
Most recent update killed it. Zoom only goes to the maximum dimensions of browser and then zooms horizontally only
Thanks you to the devs for this one. Been using this for years so often that I installed a new browser and it only took me about 10 seconds to realize I lost the center-click zoom thingy this extension allows. I feel this should just be basic functionality in Chrome but hey, as long as the extension does the trick I’m cool with installing it.
If the image has a link attached to it, this doesn’t work. So most of the time it doesn’t work.
Pressing Mouse3 simply opens an image in a new tab. OPTIONS is greyed out too.
I guess this extension is dead.
Nice!
Middle button sucks. Need right right button + scroll like in Firefox.
