Ever needed to note down something about a webpage e.g. login id, frequent flyer number, membership number, tracking id etc. Something that you want to remember when you visit that page again.
Page notes lets you do that and much more in a slick way. Your notes can live in the cloud allowing you to be free of the device. It’s secure: data stays in your browser and in your Google drive; you can encrypt your notes if you want that extra level of security. There’s more. See below for full features list.
What users are saying about it (from reviews):
“Was looking for a Push to Google Keep extension when I discovered Page Notes. This is even better for note context mapping. Darn handy, the best things are simple: url + note
Perfect!”
“Exactly what I wanted. Great little extension.”
“Simple and does what it says on the tin! Just what I needed.”
Features:
* Take and access your notes with a single click.
* (New) Encrypt your note with a passphrase that is not stored anywhere. Unencrypted notes and the passphrase are not stored anywhere.
* Option to add website level page notes. Website level notes available for all the pages of the website.
* Sync your notes to cloud (Google Drive). No data loss if your you lose your local data for some reason.
* All notes also available through a single page to make it easy to search in your notes. On all notes page, filter notes by tags. Tags are added to notes by prefixing a word with ‘#’.
* Browser icon changes color if there is a ‘note’ available for a web page.
* Multiple computers can stay in sync using sync to cloud feature.
* No 3rd party to trust. Data stays with the user — either on the browser or user’s Google Account.

I just started using it but it was exactly what I was looking for something just to jot down a simple note on a website like an episode number in a series to remember which episode you were on. Unlike others this was simple to use and setup.
thanks man love it looking for this
Para mi le faltan dos cosas. Poder importar desde un fichero csv igual que permite exportar y poder meter una contraseña general para que encripte todo en lugar de contraseñas individuales
This is a great extension that I had so far. I love its feature that I can add a note per spreadsheet and google forms that I have for my work.
Hope that there’s a function that I can add colors on my notes, and also a feature that the notes will auto-pop up once I open the website where I added a note. But, so far so good!
Interesting (especially the cloud sync via GDrive) but I need a way to highlight and put notes wherever I want on the page, (helping the highlight), to explain parts of text.
Neat little extension. Does what it has to do and nothing else. Super recommended!
Was looking for a note editor that will associate notes with a given page. Meets my needs perfectly. Would be even better if you could have notes pop-up when you revisit page automatically.
Great extension, it’s been years now that I use it – most def 5 stars!
Things that I think could event improve it would be:
– bigger input field when entering note
– and possibility to have mono font (same width each character)
What I was looking for, especially that you can have different notes on the same website for different webpages is the feature I needed.
YEEEEEEEET
Excellent
Nice, unassuming, clean and works on Chromebook. I installed this to add notes to simple Google search results for stock prices. The ability to turn off the “apply to all pages of this site” was absolutely key since I typically pull up many different Google stock price searches simultaneously with a unique note added to each search result. Seems perfect; looking forward to trying it out.
Nice app. I like the export csv option. I export it and open it as an excel spreadsheet. Brilliant. Perfect way to store the info.
Good functionality but needs UI improvements. I wrote too much in the text window and now cannot get to the ‘edit’ button at all, it is below the bottom edge of my screen. Cannot copy the whole text either, in order to move it to a new sticky note. Finally found a page when all notes can be edited and could only edit there.
I initially rated it 5 stars but I would have kept that rating if it allowed saving multiple notes per page and not one single note for a whole page.
GOOD!!! but still have some suggestions:
1. the text box
1.1 to support a rich text, so that we can add our evernote link or some other to it.
1.2 show different levels of webpage in the same time, i.e. in this webpage, i can see the note i take for chrome.google.com, and also see the notes for this extension.
1.3 autoshown, if the box can auto opened as a slide box or pin somewhere, it will be better.
2. tags systems
Really nice and simple app.
Would be also handy to have multiple notes per web page.
I wish the extension could be able to modify the url on the notes so I can make notes for a section of the site and not only for site or page.
I usually read web novels, and a lot of them, i was searching for an app to register a glossary for each novel with character description, place description, etc. So i need the notes to be per novel, say the url is: “https://site.com/novelName/chapterName/pageNumber” ; i want the notes to be linked to: “https://site.com/novelName/*”
長年使っており、重宝しています。
他PCとの同期機能があり、PCの引っ越しの時も楽々です。
Nice, simple and effective.
Would ~LOVE~ the ability to change the “Apply to all pages of this site” to be OFF by default.
I use this for remembering the highest I’m willing to bid on eBay auctions, and obviously having the same number applied to ALL pages is not what I want, and having to manually remember to unclick it 50 times a day isn’t ideal.
UPDATE: Awesome sauce! Thank you very much, I’ve updated my review to 5* and will continue to use it daily. 🙂
REQUEST #2: I guess the next logical step would be to introduce markdown rendering in to the text (underline, bold, italics, strikethrough, etc.), but it’s not really necessary… Would just be cool. Still 5*. 🙂
I absolutely love it, the most useful chrome extension I have. One tiny improvement would be if it automaticaly saved when I pressed ctrl+enter or ctrl+s
Update: just deleted all my notes on a page because I edited a note and it defaulted to ‘for all pages on this site’. Slightly bitter about that
I used this extension from many years now. Easy to use, sync on all devices.
Thanks to keep it simple.
Very helpful, as it’s nearly totally unobtrusive. A pop-out option would also help. Thanks!
It works very well. I would suggest adding a ‘Copy’ button below the note so we can quickly copy the content and paste whereever we want.
Wonderful ! The best extention i’ve find, exactly what i’ve searched ! Sober, without flourish, and work on every website !
