Download the books into mhtml files, you can open the mhtml file using chrome browser.
You need to login to your safaribooksonline account before using this extension.
*Works only on https://learning.oreilly.com domain.*
I used it a couple of time to get book offline for school project. Work like a charm if you are in a rush and can’t get the book in time.
Always support the writer by buying the book if you like it.

thank you very much!!
Ruslan Akhmyatzanov
It works for me.
Of course, it would be great to have all pages in one pdf or epub file with local links and contents, but this version is useful too.
Thanks for the effort.

Hi Chen,
I think the pages are now saved in HTML instead MHTML format, so I am unable to open those HTML pages. Could you look into that? Thank you! It’s a great extension, by the way.

After disabling other extenions now a zip is being downloaded with chapter wise htms though once you opem its gibberish. If u open the source code the content is there but not visible when open in chrome
Felix Lai
Works great! I only hope it will be able to save it to PDF instead of mhtml.
José Queirós
doesn’t work 🙁
Philipe Almeida

Harry Tran
It saved my time 😀

I worked for me. You have to click on “Download as Zip” and do not touch anything until it either saves it to downloads folder, or asks where to save.
My question is, how are people using the output? Internal link still point to original website, and also, I don’t even know how to open this other than individual tabs.
I’d love a PDF output!
Sơn Phạm Minh
very useful. Thanks!

Works great! For those that find it not working, disable your other extensions! One or more of them may be holding up the pages completely loading in the background.

Not working…

Thank you for this extension

Worked well… I couldn’t use other download methods, as my organisation uses SAML authentication.

Well, It sometime can not work because the tab it opened can not close automatically.
Gautambir Soin
It just makes a PDF of the webpage including all the extra bits that are available on the website. It works well and is fine if you dont care about having extra links and images on in the book but for my purposes it was not good at all and that is the reason for the one star
Kaushalendra Pal
showing this in not supported url.

You can’t adjust the concurrency, and so throttling by Safari keeps pages from loading –
Farbod abazar
not working
Brett Robson
Works really well. Sometimes there are hiccups with download but that’s probably at the server end.
The use of mhtml means everything is is held in one file per chapter.
Currently links still point to safari books.
One important addition would be to remove the href references to safari, replacing it with the local directory.

Ok so where is the download location of the zip file
Still a WIP extension. Not recommended.
