The single purpose of SearchPreview is to enhance your search results pages. It inserts site preview images (thumbnails) and popularity ranks into Google™, DuckDuckGo™, Yahoo™ and Bing™ searches. SearchPreview does not process or hold personal user data. SearchPreview only handles non-personal user data required for its features. If you turn off the features, no user data is transmitted or held. Please read the privacy policy for details.

New in Version 6.12:
– Added support for new Google layout

Permissions and why SearchPreview requires them:

– contextMenus : Add an image request update entry to the context menu
– storage: To remember your SearchPreviow options
– “https://*.searchpreview.de/”: Read information from the SearchPreview servers (Popularity Ranks)
– content_script access to all known google domains, bing.com, duckduck.com, search.yahoo.com: Needed to insert the preview images into the search results page

    Stopped working on google today. both on chrome and firefox. still works on duckduck, havent checked the others

    EDIT: MANY thanks developer – updates on jan 16th fixed the gooGle search engine issue!

    Does not work on the latest design of Google. I’ve made a fork of the project although I’m not sure duplicates would be approved by Google. I’ve also contacted the developer to make the requested changes, hopefully he’ll take care of it.

    Yeah it has stopped working, for some reason I got it to work by unblocking google from adblock and it worked but then it went away and stopped working, search previews are not shown anymore, please fix.

    IT WAS GREAT. But now after the update it fails to work. Looks like another making changes for the sake of calling it an up date and now it’s dead. I’ll give it a few days then pick another ad on that dose the same thing and dose work.
