SingleFile is an extension that helps you to save a complete page (with CSS, images, fonts, frames, etc.) as a single HTML file.
Getting started
– Wait until the page is fully loaded.
– Click on the SingleFile button in the extension toolbar to process and save the page.
– You can click again on the button to cancel the action when processing a page.
Additional notes
– Open the context menu by right-clicking the SingleFile button in the extension toolbar or on the webpage. It allows you to save:
– the current tab,
– the selected content,
– the selected frame,
– the selected link(s).
– Select “Annotate and save the page…” in the context menu to:
– Highlight text,
– add notes,
– remove content.
– You can also process multiple tabs in one click and save:
– the selected tabs,
– the unpinned tabs,
– all the tabs.
– The context menu also allows you to activate the auto-save (after pages are being loaded) of:
– the current tab,
– the unpinned tabs,
– all the tabs.
– Right-click on the SingleFile button and select “Manage extension” to open the options page.
– Enable the option “Misc. > save to Google Drive” to upload pages to Google Drive.
– Enable the option “Misc. > add proof of existence” to prove the existence of saved pages by linking the SHA256 of the pages into the blockchain.
– You can use the customizable shortkey Ctrl+Shift+Y to save the current tab or selected tabs.

Really great app. very useful. One strange problem – when i save “mobile view” (using the extension ‘temporary mobile view’) file size is 50MB while same page in normal desktop view saves as 1-2MB

This extension is unbelievably awesome. It’s a miracle to me how it saves even the images and everything, INSIDE one single HTML file. I thought that were only possible with MHT files.
Speaking of MHT Files — perhaps it could be added as an option to save the files as MHT instead of HTML, because then you could open the MHT files in Word and edit them, including all embedded images and the like.

This is an ESSENTIAL extension, I use it very often, especially after those mozilla updates broke the Scrapbook/Scrapbox X addons. The annotation features are a godsend. Great work!
On a sidenote – does anybody who uses this extension has found a way to organize the save pages on the systems (besides in folders). Something like the Scrapbook sidebar would be awesome, tagging, full text search, folders…
I am constantly googling fo something like that, but end up with nothing useful.
If the developer is “listening”: what would be your advice regarding the organization of the downloaded files?

i have a suggestion.
in the extension, there should be a dialog box for add bulk url links to download all them in batch.
this extension should be work like internet download manager feature like as download batch urls or files.
because i use this extension for my gmail emails download for offline.
i open 20 emails so it slow down browser and computer.
all emails can not be download with idm because it need username and password.
some time idm can not work.
but this extension can work for logged in pages to download for offline purpose.
so please add a box or text base url list upload option to download all url links in batch download process.

Mostly works but always saves a page before annotating, even if the “annotate the page before saving” option is clicked. Also needs a “Save as” option, so I can save someplace other than Downloads, and using only the predetermined name.
My use case is integration with the Zotero reference manager, which saves web pages as html in its own folder structure but has no way to annotate them. I’d like to use SingleFile to do the annotation.

Additional notes 对我来说特别有用，开始还没有意识到，后来就慢慢的把所有的保存的网页都做了批注。
建议：如果能够支持批注信息的管理功能就更完美了，比如说列表、导出之类。
Thanks for your work, “Additional notes” is very usefull for me, now i can add notes to all of my WEB file。
Suggestion: If we can manage the note like Adobe Acrobat, that will be perfect.
