Echoing a lot of the feedback given by others here… This was a true failure of failures when it comes to updates. I’ve gone from using TextUs dozens of time a day to barely looking at it, if I can avoid it. This was incredibly disappointing because TextUs truly provided some revolutionary new capabilities that I had never truly been able to leverage with our systems, as they were, and now it’s essentially a worthless platform. I hope there’s some way that previous features can be returned and that this lessons runs deep in the team who made these changes.

My whole team and I absolutely hate this new version. We don’t get notified that someone has texted us back, so there can be a lot of missed messages. The system also says it can integrate with our CRM system, but it does not work. The search bar to quickly search contacts is absolutely awful. We can rarely ever find anyone in the search Bring back the original version!!
The one positive that I like about the new version is that we can set our business hours, so it will send away messages outside of our business hours automatically. The original version would send away messages as well, but if someone still had the site or app open it wouldn’t send the away message.

I get no notifications that I have a new message. The old version would ding my computer and my phone. This one does neither. I just have to constantly remember to go in and refresh the app all through out the day to get the new messages. On my phone I have to close the app each time for a new message to come through. This is a HUGE down grade form your original version. Awful

I spent a lot of time programming textus to work in my salesforce org through process builder. With this update, which we were forced into, none of it works. none of it. When following their instructions to get it working again, their instructions froze our entire system so we couldn’t do any work. Do not like the update not sure why they felt the need to force everyone into a new version.

The original TextUs has its kinks, but still superior compared to this one. This has too many bells and whistles that are unnecessary and will be under utilized. The pop-up has lag and doesn’t live update. The web tab is satisfactory, but still prefer the multiple text boxes on one screen.

Very frustrating update….I am unable to copy and paste a name and number, I have to hand type it! My other concern is the newest messages do not stay at the top…I need a way to sort unread, not just those I have not responded to, I will not respond to everyone. Very unhappy with this update!

like everyone has messaged greatest asset this service had was the sidebar extension that automatically entered the number that was on the webpage, now I have to bounce back and forth just to send a text message as a sales feature THIS SUCKS and you should fire some on the engineers who threw this together quickly and took out lots of the features that people love. I will be discussing about moving to another service after this fiasco!

The advantage to using this extension was having the ability to find phone numbers and text from any page. Now there is basically no point in even having this extension.

Actually, I just learned that this extension cannot bring back the sidebar due to changes with google. Going to say it anyways “bring back the sidebar”!

IMHO this is more like a beta version that has not been well thought out. The old version was much more user friendly. Now that the sidebar has been eliminated I do not see the value in the extension at all. It has become a mass text system like so many others. I might as well just use the app on the phone. I am sure many businesses will rethink paying for this service. Bring back the sidebar!

TextUs is a great tool for quickly opening up a sidebar while reviewing notes on a profile. Well, it was anyway. Now it’s an entirely separate screen/app. This means switching back and forth between TU and whatever site you’re using it with. Give me back my sidebar. Literally nothing that can be implemented will be used or beneficial without that.
