This extension works great. However, it take HUGE BANDWIDTH when activated but not when it’s turned off. I just used speedtest to verify my internet speed when this extension is on. It’s about 350 mbps ON vs 550 mbps when OFF. I tried it many times over different days and it’s nearly 200 mbps less when it’s on. This is when the extension is on but not downloading any videos, it’s just activated much like any other extension.
I don’t understand it. I have another and it doesn’t do that.
Is this extension stealing bandwidth?

This extension literally halved ALL DOWNLOAD SPEEDS IN CHROME.
This created a very frustrating situation for me when running an internet speed tests after moving my cable modem and router to another room to see if it had improved performance, so I was running lots of test. I noticed my phone and other devices were getting 94mbps, but the test in my chrome was only getting 47mbps? I thought it must be a bug in the speed test software in Chrome, so I tried it on Microsoft Edge, and got 94mbps. Then I troubleshot in Chrome, ran the test a bunch of times, and every time it was around 47-50mpbs. So, I did some research and tried turning off a whole bunch of extensions for chrome and SUDDENLY I was getting 94mbps. I then went back through each extension, turning them back back on a few at a time and then ran the test again. When I came to this extension, my speeds plummeted. While monitoring my network bandwidth using Task Manager (windows 10), I ran the speed test. Somehow my network card is running at 97-98mbps, but I was only getting around 47-50mbps reported speeds. So I downloaded the same 100mb file 3 times from my web server and averaged 26 seconds (about 3.8mb/sec). I then disabled this plugin and downloaded the same 100mb file 3 more times and averaged 14 seconds (more than 7mb/sec). Then I ran the speed test again and got 93mbps reported with 97-98mbps overhead on my network card.
So, in conclusion, somehow this application is keeping my network card very busy whenever I download anything on Chrome and literally halves my download speeds. How is it keeping my network card just as busy and only achieving half the speed? Something very strange is going on here. It almost seems like it is duplicating the same download connection for everything and then throwing out half the results. Is it snooping on everything I download? I am uninstalling this immediately.
Please remove the pop-up tab every time we open incognito mode. Otherwise you’re the best.

НО, есть одна проблема, если это расширение включено – при проверки скорости инета через любой сайт (к примеру speedtest.net) – оно снижает скорость инета.
При отключенном расширении – скорость инета ~90 Mb/s. При включенным – ~40-60 Mb/s.
Можно узнать причину?

This was the best video downloader I ever used. Unfortunately it broke with the chrome 86.0.4240.198 update. Chrome consistently crashes before any downloads complete. Confirmed on 2 PCs. Hopefully devs will fix soon.

After my previous downloader updated and no longer works on some sites, this is the only one I found in the store that works on chopped up mpeg streams. However, its really really slow.
It works, but slow af.
