UPDATE: As of the 27th of June, 2013, this extension is no longer supported since I’m taking a break from using WaniKani. It should still work, though, (which is why I just don’t simply remove it) but it won’t exactly use the latest API features.
Tired of constantly mashing that poor F5 button to see if you have new reviews available at WaniKani (http://www.wanikani.com)?
No? Well, if you change your mind, this here extension regularly checks the website to see if there are any new reviews available. If so, it notifies you via a, you guessed it, notification and an optional sound jingle. Both can be changed in the options page.
Clicking the notification or the toolbar button takes you directly to the review page. When you’re done reviewing it automatically resets your review count.

Unfortunately the recent changes in WK API will render it useless if not updated, it seems. I hope that it gets updated because I absolutely love it!
[update] or alternatively, you can edit the sources and enable SSL by yourself by replacing the few http:// calls with https:// (note the extra “s”). Cool that it can still work!
I’ve been using this one for months now and was rather sad when it no longer worked after WK enabled SSL so thanks so much @Andrew!
