This extension allows you to play a metronome along to music videos.
It is available on YouTube video pages, where it automatically queries the Spotify Web API for the song tempo based on the video title. If it has gotten it wrong, you can always give it a different song title or tap/type your own tempo.
Once the metronome is playing, you can skip around and pause the video without worrying about it staying in time (if “Follow video” is on).
If Auto-Sync is off, you have to start the metronome on-beat.
Turn on the “Auto-Sync” feature to let the metronome listen for a few seconds and find the beat with an AI-Blockchain-Cloud-Based Algorithm (not really) and sync to it.
Turn off the “Follow video” feature to play the metronome independent of the video.
This extension is great for practicing music and saves you from Googling the tempo, opening a separate metronome and trying to play it in sync.
