Displays a pretty translation tooltip beneath a marked word of a page.
The translations originate from the nicely online dictionary dict.cc

i really loved it, boosted my learning experience a ton, and thank you for that, but i’d like to leave some feedback
1. extension doesn’t pop while using some google services like gmail, docs, but works fine with translator (on debian & windows 10)
2. would be lovely if could find it in other browsers (e.g. firefox)
Hi I am really thankful to the dict.cc community helping so many of us learn Deutsch.
However, I am facing the issue with this extension where, after highlighting and selecting the dict.cc option from the right click drop down menu, nothing happens.
If I save the setting of context menu search: open in new tab, it works.
But i am unable to use the extension in the same tab, where I am reading the content.
Please help

Sehr praktische App. Wäre nur super, wenn sie für ausgewählte Webseiten deaktivierbar wäre. Manchmal stört das doppel klick feature auf interaktiven Webseiten.

Seit Kurzem kann ich (selbst, wenn es deaktiviert ist) keine Wörter mehr in Texten (z.B. im Suchfeld auf google.de) per Doppelklick markieren.
Das macht die Erweiterung leider unbrauchbar. 🙁

In der aktuellen Version läuft alles wieder wie es soll. 🙂
good extension. but i now have the problem that when it is enabled as extension in chrome but disabled by the dict.cc-extension options, that i can’t select words in google search text input field anymore. they will be immediately deselected by dict.cc extension. that is a kinda serious bug because I either can’t use google properly or I have to completely disable dict.cc-extension.

It was a pretty great extension. But now it doesn’t work properly. When I scroll down a page and then mark a word, the translation stays stapled at the top of the page and is no longer visible.
Edit: Same problem with google translate. So 5 Stars again.

Leider verursacht die Funktion “Search in text field” ab Chrome v61, dass man generell Text in Textfeldern nicht mehr mit der Maus korrekt markieren kann. Das Problem verschwindet sobald man die Option deaktiviert oder die Extension abschaltet bzw. deinstalliert.
leider funktioniert seit kurzem das Kontexteinblendfenster nicht mehr , kommt nur noch LADEN…
Grundsätzlich ein sehr gutes Add-On. Ich mag es einfach nur ein Wort mit Doppelklick zu markieren und sofort zu sehen was es bedeutet. Das macht das Lesen sehr angenehm, gerade in Foren.
Allerdings funktioniert das Add-On seit ein paar Wochen nicht mehr. Es erscheint ein ewiges “Laden…” Pop-up und schließlich wurde kein Ergebnis zur Übersetzung gefunden. Und das bei jedem Wort.
Extremst guter Übersetzer. Noch besser als das Firefox Addon.
Habe mich gewundert warum ich so oft keinen Text mehr markieren kann. Hat sich herausgestellt es lag an der dict-cc Extension für Chrome. Stellt man “In Textfeld suchen” aus, kann man soweit ich das testen konnte wieder normal Texte markieren.

App funktioniert gut. Früher konnte man Text makrieren, dann Rechtsklick und dann übersetzen lassen. Jetzt wird jeder markierte Text sofort übersetzt.
Finde ich sehr nervig. Hab ich etwas falsch eingestellt? Falls es keine Abhilfe gibt verzichte ich lieber auf die App.
