Google has removed the ability to go “back” with the backspace key in chrome since v52.
This extension brings back the functionality and allows you to use Backspace key as a shortcut to go back to the previous page.
Usage
BACKSPACE – Go one step back
Shift + BACKSPACE – Go one step forward
Adds two shortcuts and doesnt distract you otherwise
broken

Without a backspace=back extension I’d have reverted back to FireFox in a heartbeat. The only issue is (and also with all other extensions for Chrome that re-add this feature) is that it doesn’t work on YouTube for me for some reason. No idea why. It works everywhere else though so it’s still better than switching browsers.
