We brought the extension back to life for a long time.
Now, a major update of Google Meet broke the interface with the native code, so we moved to a different approach. We plan to work on some of the features that millions of users loved.. stay tuned!

This extension adds a button to the top right bar (next to chat & participant list) to enable grid-view in Google Meets. Grid view gives every participant an equal sized video for use in meetings without a primary speaker (such as working from home silent meetings).
This extension forcibly loads every participant’s video when grid view is enabled and may cause performance issues in extremely large meetings.
Includes a variety of options to enhance your meeting: include your own video, highlight who is speaking, and hide participants without video!
I cant see all the other participants all I can see are 12 including me. Can ya fix this?
No início, em 2020, funcionou muito bem! Agora está oscilando muito e as opções de configurações avançadas estão desativadas para uso gratuito, ou seja, só pagando mesmo… infelizmente não atende mais ao objetivo proposto.
It was okay just the presentations didn’t work, it was just in a little box like a person would be like. It has to get fixed a little more.

Sigue sin funcionar verdad? me funcionaba bien antes, por ahí leí que dando F5 funcionaba pero no, no funciona con F5, la función espejo ya no sirve y si entras a la configuración avanzada sale “sorry, advanced features might be unavailable.

My teachers loved it until a paywall launched for it. I had to block the extension. Now that the paywall has been removed, my teachers are again “trying” it out. That paywall was a very bad idea. I’m sure Google is now working to integrate similar functionality. I like the extension on behalf of my staff, but I am hesitant to believe it is here to stay.

Caro Simone, grazie. Noi prof di Mate abbiamo passato momenti di panico quando hanno dismesso la vecchia versione (fix). La nuova estensione grid-view (quella ufficiale free) lascia poco spazio ai riquadri dei partecipanti, quando si presenta qualcosa.
I riquadri purtroppo però sono massimo 16 quando si presenta qualcosa, anche se il layout grid è settato a 49 partecipanti.
Purtroppo questo limite con le classi di più di 16 allievi è ancora un problema. Spero che tu riesca presto a risolverlo. Grazie nel frattempo

Purtroppo nel mio caso rimangono ancora alcuni problemi.
Utilizzo grid view per le lezioni a distanza. Accedo con il pc per vedere tutta la classe + tablet (da cui proietto la lavagna digitale). Rimane il problema della visualizzazione di tutti i partecipati quando presento il mio schermo dal secondo dispositivo. In questo caso visualizzo solo pochi partecipanti. Cosa posso fare? Grazie mille!
Thank you so much for working to fix the extension. I was so sad when google meet blocked it and being without the extension for a few weeks has really proven how helpful it was. I really miss being able to see everyone when someone was presenting their screen. I hope you find a work around!
Glad to see this extension is finally being updated! I wish Google would either stop updating Meets in a way that breaks this extension or just bake this extension’s features directly into Meets.
This extension is nowhere near what it used to be, but I’m very grateful that you are still trying to make a product that is so useful to so many teachers during this pandemic.

This worked great for my teaching until a few weeks ago. It is making it really hard to engage with my students. I can only see 10 people on my screen at once instead of everyone.
It works fine until you present, so basically what it does it’s the same thing you can do without it. The only thing new is that the presentation is hidden when you present, but you cannot see everybody like before. It’s still broken.
This is the complete opposite of seeing everybody in the meet. It shows even less people then was in the uh.. non-grid view…? You know what I mean. But I hate this extension.

it used to ge very good but from some days it got crashed and it is not working properly and i love this extension pls bring it back…………………….
This was hard to get to work but it did if i disable ad blocker i didn’t have much problems but over time this started to freeze in the middle of doing the grid and now i have to uninstall or rejoin a lot of times for it to work properly.

If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. This extension used to work well but recently had a ton of issues making it basically unusable.
it was working at the start of the year but it broke and it showed everybody as a straight line after a couple of months but now it works again! but features are gone (which i really don’t need)

It started of really good, it worked fine and you could see everyone. Suddenly it started showing everyone on a vertical line. I did what was said here to remove it, clear cache and install it again. It stopped doing the vertical line, but it also stopped showing everyone. As soon as you set to grid view then a lot of people disappear. It is not the internet because I have very fast fibre, it is the faulty extension. It’s such a shame as it used to be very good.
