This extension helps you to get informed about changes to your public IP address. You set an address to check for, and the icon will be green if it matches. The icon will change its color if your public IP is different from the one you set in the options and you will hear a short notification sound (muteable).
HORRIBLE ALARM SOUND – WHY?
i thought my hard drive is malfunctioning or there’s something stuck in my fan because of the STRANGE and LOUD alarm sound. I opened up my MacBook cleaned everything, ran disk error checks, thought i had to buy a new laptop.
I would only use it if I’d have an option to check once a day. Every 5 minutes is over the top.
Just installed. Looks like just what I need. Thank you! Would be nice if I could set the check interval for longer than 5 minutes. Like, once per hour or once every 24 hours. I’m also unsure (because I just installed it) if it will pop an alert or just make a noise every 5 minutes. I’d prefer a popup that doesn’t go away until I click OK.
If you can make this notification check our IP every min or sec. Then i will say this add-on are perfect.
