Thanks a bunch. Icons were driving me nuts to the point I was considering just switching to other services – Google’s icon redesign is that infuriatingly terrible.
Joel Friedrick
Thank you! Love it.
NickLink
cool little thingy. Didn’t have problems navigating the new icons since the only one affected that I mostly use is mail. Just prefer the old ones and this did the trick, nothing special.
Siri // GD Partitionhlep
Amazing! I hate Google because of the new icons, but I don’t need to worry about that anymore!

works great thx! but one thing is would it be possible to have the calendar icon show the date? not a big deal bc i can see the date on the bottom of my computer screen anyways but it would be cool 🙂 thanks again!
Amazing! Would love if the logos in the top left corner of sites would change too!

The perfect extension exists. It’s this one.
Kathryn Deering
Disappointed.
The fix was only partial (email icon) and then it reverted to the new one. I will be deleting the extension.

You are the best! (Additional hack: I really like pinning my default tabs in a standard order (right-click on tab-> pin))

Thank you for restoring my sanity and removing my frustration. It was so difficult to gauge whether I had a specific tab open or not! I know it’s a first world problem but this is simply brilliant

This extension helped me out so much. I can see all icons again, and developer even updated it to include all Google products. Thank you so much!!!
The only reason for google to exist is the apps like this one, thank you.
Jordan Drakinite
Not so great for performance… It constantly overwrites the HTML inside the page, on a loop. Also it only changes the favicons, not images on the page.

At the risk of sounding like a simpleton, this might be my favorite extension ever. I am so glad that there are others that dislike the new google icons and are smart enough to do something about it. Thank you!
Sally Mimms
My eyes thank you. I was developing new wrinkles (and headaches) from all the squinting.
Shaun Lambert
brilliant! is the icon for keep missing though? didn’t change like everything else did for me
Iain Purdie
Icons are soooo much better, but if there’s a way to put the email count into the Gmail one and the date into Calendar…
Andrew Levine
Works great! I wish I could do this for iOS app icons
James Rose
I love it! It reverses Google’s style-over-substance “improvement” of its icons. At the risk of sounding greedy, given that this is a free extension, if there’s a way to add back the dynamic mail counts on the icons that would be great. But regardless – THANK YOU!
Duncan Murtagh
Does exactly as described. Bravo!

Thank you for saving me from the misery of Google’s new icons.
Doesn’t work for me.
Working with Vivaldi browser as well 🙂

Missing the current date in the calendar icon; please take a look at the corresponding add-in for Firefox: there is a solution: https://addons.mozilla.org/de/firefox/addon/classic-google-icons/

雖然能夠還原到舊的圖示,但它的做法是不斷重寫網頁的favicon,造成效能上的干擾。而且它的圖示也沒辦法顯示Gmail的未讀信件數量,實際上不太實用。
