really saves my eyes while reading
AlphaText allows me to keep reading some sites on my old MacPro, where all bold glyphs are displayed like xb”frt”glb. AlphaTest restores the real texts. Good point, the quick style that allows to choose typo/size/style in a click. Bad point, the AlphaText button is not efficient on some popup windows, like payment checking from my bank. But still usefull 95% of time.

i love alpahtext. super simple and easy to customize literally anything! i’m completely satisfied and plan to use this for the rest of online school.
It would be wonderful if the saved profile also included background and text color. Apart from that, great and useful extension!
It works great but It hide some Italic words which I want to read
This extensions has made reading much better and more enjoyable before. On some of the sites I read literature on, because of the text and background colour, I would have to strain my eyes to read. After using Alphatext, I no longer have to strain my eyes, allowing me to read without hurting my eyes.
Excellent tool that is easy to use and works properly on all but a few web sites. Too bad it is not compatible with Opera even with the Chrome Extension enabler installed.
Does great job of single click background and font changes … saves my eyes after hours of reading.
AlphaText is definitely one of the greatest readability-enhancing extensions I know.
That said, adding a few more options would make it perfect in my opinion :
– More size values (for some reason, the devs didn’t add more values between 20px and 24px, which is a puzzling choice. 22px-23px is precisely the range I need for most of my readings.)
– More customizing options for the background and the text’s colors (the available grey’s option is too dark, while the beige one is too bright for my eyes )
Other than that, it’s a great tool. I highly recommend it.

Although it does make some changes that are improvements, it just doesn’t fix everything – And I often find that increasing the text size affects so much at once, that what was previously two or three frames of info side by side becomes 1 long row of frames…. resulting in the part I was trying to read moving from the right margin to 70% down the page. Obviously due to padding & size settings within these frames. What would be Ideal would be to first select an area of the text that is difficult to read, and then click on the extension button, where the option to adjust just the similarly formatted text of that section/frame OR All text similarly formatted. that way when the heading is in bold and an agreeable font and size, but the body is unreadable you don’t have to also affect the size and formatting of the page everywhere..

Could use more fonts and ability to set custom text size.
Also i need more profiles (5), ability to name profiles. Hotkeys to activate profiles.
Overall, good extension.
