Works just one time.. after that ir presents “Preparing to Donwload” ando do nothing anymore….Thres is no messages of error, nothing…
Tested with release 1.0.3 and now is working again !
Seems free but it’s not -> this extension will ask you for a paid account -> meaning you’ll have to pay to make one..

Why doesn’t it download media? Checked the box but nothing happens, only the json file.
This is complete and utter junk. It cannot backup a specific chat, and backups NO data! It creates a JSON files that contains links to Whatsapp. I need the text and media info on my PC not links. In other words if you lose Whatsapp you lose ALL your Whatsapp text and media
Total garbage, probably a scam. Do not install and do not believe these fake reviews from strange names.

Nicely backed up the chat to a .json file. However, what’s the best way to view the file in a way that’s readable like the html chat?
Hello, I just tried the extension. It exported my “normal” chats (between me an exactly 1 person) perfectly. However: “Group chats” weren’t exported at all. Is this also in the works?

All you need to do is just to get the add on, open whatsapp web, select date range, tick to allow download media and wait for just some seconds, that’s it! The data is well organized and easy to find. I love it!

It produces a lot of files… that contain NO DATA only empty fields
