Download Accelerator & Manager is an extension that enables you to download large files with multi-threaded method. It divides the input file into several sections and then download all sections in parallel.
Just enter a desired thread count in popup and then add a new download task. You can add a new download through toolbar popup UI (top section) or simply right click on a desired download link and then click on the – Download with Accelerator – item in context-menu.
Note: after adding a new URL, please adjust the number of threads. Also note that, currently the maximum number of threads is 5.

The makers of this site stole all of my files and information and wanted me to buy it back. If you want to avoid this same fate, do not fall for this extension. Use a more trusted accelerator.
The speed is not much different than single thread download and it sometimes corrupts the file on resume. It does not provide the original download URL of the file either so one has to go find it again from the source.

Exelente extension para descargar todo tipo de contenido, tiene buena aceleracion, pero ojala pudieran aumentar el numero de partes a 10.

Only real download accelerator extension that I’ve found for Chrome as an extension. Everything else is either a plugin for a software (like DAP or IDA) or a Download Manager so 5 Stars!!
The Extension itself is quite buggy though, especially with file naming and handling, and can use a lot more fine tuning, BUT IT WORKS REALLY WELL AS AN ACCELERATOR!!
