STL Files – STL (an abbreviation of “stereolithography”) is a file format native to the stereolithography CAD software created by 3D Systems.
STL has several backronyms such as “Standard Triangle Language” and “Standard Tessellation Language”. This file format is supported by many other software packages; it is widely used for rapid prototyping,
3D printing and computer-aided manufacturing. STL files describe only the surface geometry of a three-dimensional object without any representation of color, texture or other common CAD model attributes.
The STL format specifies both ASCII and binary representations. Binary files are more common, since they are more compact.[
An STL file describes a raw, unstructured triangulated surface by the unit normal and vertices (ordered by the right-hand rule) of the triangles using a three-dimensional Cartesian coordinate system.
In the original specification, all STL coordinates were required to be positive numbers, but this restriction is no longer enforced and negative coordinates are commonly encountered in STL files today.
STL files contain no scale information, and the units are arbitrary.
OBJ Files – OBJ (or .OBJ) is a geometry definition file format first developed by Wavefront Technologies for its Advanced Visualizer animation package. The file format is open and has been adopted
by other 3D graphics application vendors.
The OBJ file format is a simple data-format that represents 3D geometry alone — namely, the position of each vertex, the UV position of each texture coordinate vertex, vertex normals, and the faces
that make each polygon defined as a list of vertices, and texture vertices. Vertices are stored in a counter-clockwise order by default, making explicit declaration of face normals unnecessary. OBJ coordinates
have no units, but OBJ files can contain scale information in a human readable comment line.

I got it to work. It takes a while to load the file (based on file size and machine specs). My file was 383 meg.
Zoom works as expected with the mouse scroll button.
Not intuitive to use the right mouse button for the awkward Pan function. It has a strange minor orbit function when panning.
The Orbit/Rotate function needs a lot of work. Need to be able to do an orbit separate from rotate.
It needs some love.
Displayed my pointcloud exported to obj accurately and smoothly great extension.

Doesn’t work – on reading other reviews it seems ok for some not for others – obv needs significantly more development. File is missing components. (have checked original and they are present). Also no materials / textures shown – and no obvious way to integrate these.

This tool works beautifully to open and display Wavefront .obj files. You can scale in and out, and interactively move the object around and look at it from different angles. It works fine – no idea what the issue was for reviewers who said it didn’t work. It offers very basic functionality. I would have like it if the tool could render multiple files at once.
dosent work at all. useless waste of time
Sencillo. Me permite ver los archivos y moverlos para diferentes perspectivas. No consume muchos recursos (mi ordenador es muy viejo). Lo puedo utilizar en mi navegador Opera. Mi enhorabuena a los creadores.

quick to install. File uploads quickly. Able to move in all directions. As a basic viewer this is perfect. A few suggestions that may help make this better.
1. A reset button that return to the initial view.
2. A rotate button that lets you click and incrementally rotate.
3. Offer two rotate buttons, one for each axis.
