Search for tracks on Spotify and play them in the web player.
Type: ‘spot’ in the address bar, then Spacebar
Search for the artist, select and press Enter.
[Update 4/30/13] – Now plays the most popular track from artist

Seems really great but it doesn’t appear to work anymore??
Either I’m not using it properly or the extension requires an update to match spotify’s current software.
I didn’t feel comfortable when it asked me “Access your tabs and browsing activity” during the installation. Also I didn’t understand what’s special about this extension. There’s another extension called Spotify Search Plus which not only searches from omni-box, but also allows you to embed the song as well as search it on Youtube and google with a click. It also allows searching with right-click context menu on any page. Also that shows artist discography and in any way is better than this one. It’s a no-brainer choice! Thanks for your time but I rather stick to Spotify Search Plus.
