Tabli is a free tab manager for Google Chrome that provides fast switching between windows and tabs and the ability to save and restore windows.
Tabli runs entirely as an extension in your browser. Tabli does not make any outbound data connections and does not send any data whatsoever to any external application, extension or cloud service.
You can learn more about Tabli on the Tabli web site (under “Additional Information”)
Looks perfect. Very well done. I like the concept. Especially the keyboard shortcut support.
Best extension I have used in years.
Tabli clearly does not do what it claims. Instead it causes chaos as it deletes all your tabs and there is no way of retrieving them again, even though I have backup extensions to save all my tabs. Tabli interferes with those other extensions. I tried disabling and re-enabling, but nothing could get them back, even after saving tabs in Tabli. This is the type of error I get for each tab:
klbibkeccnjlkjkiokjodocebajanakg is blocked, Requests to the server have been blocked by an extension.
Try disabling your extensions.
Indispensable!
Update: Feb 2, 2020
Due to the bugs mentioned below I am unable to continue using this extension. There seem to be many bugs that do not manifest a first but become apparent as you continue to use this extension.
The keyboard navigation is excellent (far superior to Session Buddy, Toby, Cluster, and the many other tab managers I’ve tried). The search function is incredible: allowing you to search not only open tabs, but closed saved ones as well — narrowing down the options with each letter typed. The ability to set a global keyboard shortcut is phenomenal: allowing one to instantly search their tabs from wherever they are on the computer. Saving the Tabli tabs to Chrome Bookmarks is brilliant: allowing one to access their bookmarks on their phone or a different computer. The “revert to saved bookmarks” is super useful and I use it multiple times a day. This extension is incredibly well thought out, simple, and clean.
At the time of this review, there are 3 major annoyances:
1. The closed but saved tabs move to the end of the tabs in their window when you either close and reopen the window, or, use the “revert to bookmarked tags” button. It would be better if they only move when moved within Tabli, so the order you place them in, within Tabli, is actually relevant.
2. There is currently a bug when unchecking saved tabs: the wrong tab’s check is often unchecked.
3. Sometimes strange thing happen when using the “revert to bookmarked tags” button: not all of the saved but closed pages open, or duplicates of the same tab are created.
I hope this developer is able to find time to update these annoyances and perfect his masterpiece. It would be a great service as he is probably heavily invested in bigger projects.
What would I do without Tabli. Brilliant tab manager.
Tabli combined with the great suspender has helped me for long time since I work with hundreds of tabs to manage my multi stream workstyle. I would love to see a multi box layout, as alternative to the current vertical lay out, to enable me drag and drop tabs between windows and choose the window I wanted to work with (since I work with more than ten windows).
Other question, is there a plan to include tab groups that compatible with chrome tab groups feature ?
Never thought I needed it till I found it. Windows edge has a similar built in feature, but its Edge. Went searching and found this for chrome. Works wonders.
Completely intuitive and simple to use.
Há tempo que procuro algo assim
Great extension! It helps me to save the tabs that I’m working on.
A feature request : it would be nice if it also can keep the groups.
Thanks for creating Tabli.
Отличное расширение! Очень удобное и комфортное. Спасибо разработчикам!
This is the best tab manager I have found for Chrome. I completely depend on it. It is very simple compared to many of the “alternatives”. It allows quick text searching to FIND the tab you are looking for. I have dozens of tabs on different desktops and this makes it easy to find them.
Plus it also allows you to SAVE your tabs and re-open them later!
works, but feels slow compared to Quick Tab or VerticalTabs, and the nested panes feel cluttered.
Hi
How can I transfer the tabli database from my computer to another one?
Thanks
Good extension, shortcut to display TABLI : ” CTRL + ; “
There’s one disastrous UI choice that renders this extension unusable. In the list of windows/tabs, the “current” window (the one on top) is shown first in the list. When you scroll down through the window list and activate another one, the window list scrolls back to the top in order to show you that the window is now the “current.” So browsing through old windows to see which ones you can close becomes a huge effort. If you keep the Tabli list open, as you click on windows to bring one of them to the top, the Tabli window flutters with activity, rearranging the list, which is distracting. The current window does not need to be at the top of the Tabli window because *that window is already on top*.
Needs a lot of improvement in terms of usage.
Жалко что нет корзины для закрытых вкладок и окон.
I use it daily, it is a life saver. Thank you very much
One of my must have Chrome Extensions.. Helps me find and manage my open tabs.
Очень удобно и комфортно, хороший продукт
HUGE productivity booster! I regularly have 100 to 200 tabs open, and almost never get below 50 tabs. Sometimes on my more powerful machines (64 GB RAM high-end 4-core/8-thread) I may have up to 400 tabs open. Tabli helps me find, organize, and close them quickly, and in conjunction with the Great Suspender, is truly helpful tool for doing massive online research!
