TTV AdEraser aims to remove livestream ads from twitch.tv by replacing the original stream player with a customized embed player. But that’s not all the extension does. This project also adds further quality of life features to the twitch player and ui so that you can enjoy your favourite streams the best way possible. I am trying to add more features to the set as frequently as possible and would like to encourage you to leave your ideas in the comments or on GitHub. If you find any bugs or things that don’t quite work the way you expect them to please let me know by creating a new issue on GitHub.
v.1.2 aims to remove the “purple screen” that twitch now shows on all embedded streams instead of ads. This version also includes bug fixes and some small new features.
v.1.1 of the extension lets you view ads in a mini player on the bottom left corner of the page. That way you can support your favourite streams while not being bothered to watch ads full screen.

This thing is kinda janky, but seems to block ads. The only thing I can verify this thing does that makes the Twitch experience worse is, when ads are about to play, it cuts to the purple screen of death then cuts back to the stream pretty quick but the stream quality is lowered and the audio is muted.
I want to verify if any of my buffering issues are due to this, but I’m not about to watch a single Twitch ad in order to find out.
If you don’t care about the chat features, then I’d suggest looking into streamlink+vlc.
Worked great but stopped working yesterday 02/24/21
Works sometimes. Doesn’t let you highlight text on twitch
It has a bug where if you try to watch vods the chat will be completely desynced from the video until you disable the extension.
Does not function, causes Twitch video player to load infinitely until the extension is disabled or removed entirely.
Seems to work out the box.

Doesn’t work just keeps loading forever without ever starting
Works sometimes, most times streams are crashing, or loading forever. There is a lot of delaying and refreshing happening. Sometimes you still see the purple screen. It’s an okay solution I guess. It used to work way better

Was amazing till 1/26/21. Now it only plays audio. Best AdBlock I’ve found for twitch when functional.
Was working fine up untill earlier today 1/26/21, seems like Twitch killed it 🙁 Hopefully will be an update, and in the meantime will use alt player, which works fine now, I just liked using this one better because of less delay.
Doesn’t work as of 1/23/2021
It is great, however it isn’t possible to copy text from chat and when an ad pops, it mutes the stream.
This add-on is awesome, but now I get so many issues where the stream either lags constantly while using this add-on, or the stream keeps automatically reloading the page nonstop, even with other adblock extensions turned off. I am on a MacBook Pro 2009, so that could possibly be the issue, even though it was working just fine just a couple weeks ago.

Overall good- twitch just kind of keeps making ways to get around ad blocks. As of this review the ads are iffy. Purple screen shows but not for too long at least?

Blocks ads as indented, however, there seems to be a function that stops me from being able to highlight messages in chat to copy and paste. I’m not sure what is causing this but whenever I have it enabled I can’t highlight messages and whenever I disable it I am able to once again. Great extension and once I am able to highlight messages in chat to copy and paste again I will rate 5 stars.

Doesnt work for me, everytime theres an AD it just loads the stream forever (With a purple loading circle)
It works, in theory, but every single UI change makes Twitch worse.
Does a great job at removing ads but on some streams either the page keeps refreshing or the video player is in a constant loading loop.
